MotherGoose,On Flying With The Wild Geese

MotherGoose Here!
My introduction need not be lengthy since you all, at least, know my name. I made my debute first in France, in 1697,when Author Charles Perrault chose ME to narrate a volume of Folktales.  The idea excited me so! 100 years later, as I regarded the Rhymes of the era; I noticed that the Rhymes, much like Folktales have been passed down orally for Centuries. Mothers told the Rhymes to their children; and so, down through the Ages the Rhymes travelled.  My first compilation of these Rhymes was in 1790 when my volume entitled “MotherGoose’s Melodies” was published out of London.                                                                                                                                               I’ve been around a long long time, and I am not the oldest person in The Land of the Little People. However slow change may seem, I’ve had a span of several Centuries to notice some major changes. Some of the changes are of a retrograde nature, and I can not accept this!  I must do something to restore the balance!                                                 The Rhymes are being told less and less by mothers to their children. The context of the Rhymes too has changed in the minds of modern listeners. The Rhymes are thought of as dated, and not even understood.. The original and Historical Traditions in the Rhymes are no longer lived by modern people. Even the Rhyme People themselves have forgotten their own Rhymes. However, History within it’s Context is changeable. A possible solution to our Rhyme problems are with the Little Rhyme People themselves. I  have always been close to the Little People here. I myself was born in the Land of the Swan, on an Earth like Planet in the Constellation Cygnus the Swan. I’ve lived on Earth so long that I am an intimate part of people’s lives here.                                                                           (Ah, a place to land!).                                                   I digress. Live and Let Live One’s Own Rhyme! Perhaps we may restore meaning to Our Land, Our People, and our Lives… Our People are Speaking Up. Listen!
